Glossary of Erotic Electro Stimulation(EES) Terminologies

Written by Anna on . Posted in How to Use

{jcomments off}Erotic Electro Stimulation (E.E.S.) Defined

The Fundamental principles behind all Erotic Electro Stimulation are a proper Generating Source, a proper Delivery Source and proper Focusing of the electro stimuli. These three principles must be applied at all times for successful Erotic Electro Stimulation.
  1. Generating Source
This is the Power Source, such as the P.E.S. Power Box or a TENS unit or other made-for-play box.
  2. Delivery Source
This is the Electrode or Electrodes being used to deliver the actual stimulation from the Generating Source.
  3. Focusing
    Combines 1 & 2
Adjusting the Generating Source, such as intensity (power), frequency, & pulse to create the most effective stimulation for the individual.
Adjusting and lubricating the Delivery Source so it is functioning at its most effective.

This is a major simplification of the concept but these three basics working in harmony can lead to what has been termed a ‘hands-free orgasm’, where no physical contact is needed with the genitals in order to achieve climax.

Glossary of Erotic Electro Stimulation (EES) Terms

Definitions of basic phrases and terms related to Electro Stimulation.

Generating Source
This is the power source for the erotic electro stimulation also known as a power box, ie. The P.E.S. Power Box. It controls the low frequency electrical impulses being delivered to the body via the Electrode(s). Some use Made-For-Play boxes, TENS units, and other NMES-style units.
Made-For-Play Box
The P.E.S. Power Box is an example of a box specifically made to use for sexual electro stimulation play. It is not a relabeled TENS, EMS, or other NMES type device that has been repurposed.
TENS
Transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation (TENS) is the use of electric current produced by a device to stimulate the nerves for therapeutic purposes.
EMS
Electrical muscle stimulation (EMS), also known as neuromuscular electrical stimulation (NMES) or electromyostimulation, is the elicitation of muscle contraction using electric impulses.
Electrode(s)
This is the device through which the Erotic Electro Stimulation is delivered to the body. They are typically comprised of conductive and non-conductive areas out of various materials. These come in single, double, triple, or quadruple pole versions.
Single Pole
An Electrode with only one connection point and one continuous conductive surface. This device must have another Electrode used with it to complete the circuit. It will not work if connected all by itself. (Exception to this rule is if it is used in a Three-Electrode Configuration on a P.E.S. Power Box.) Also known as Uni-Polar.
Double Pole
An Electrode with two connection points and two separate conductive surfaces encapsulated within the same Electrode. This device can be used by itself as it can complete its own circuit. This device can also be used as a single pole Electrode when only one of its connection points is used. Also known as Bi-Polar.
Triple Pole
An Electrode with three connection points and three separate conductive surfaces encapsulated within the same Electrode. This device can be used by itself (on a P.E.S. Power Box) as it can complete its own circuit. It can also be used as a single- or double-pole Electrode depending on how many of its Connection Points are used. Also known as Tri Pole.
Quadruple Pole
An Electrode with four connection points and four separate conductive surfaces encapsulated within the same Electrode. This device can be used by itself as it can complete its own circuit. It can also be used as a single-, double-, or triple-pole Electrode depending on how many of its Connection Points are used. Also known as Quad Pole.
Configuration(s)
This is a combination of what electrodes are being used and their placement on the body for maximum efficacy.
One Electrode Configuration
This is one of the most basic placements. You need a double pole (bi-polar) Electrode to create this placement. Because these Electrodes can be used singly; you will not need a second Electrode to complete the circuit.
Two Electrode Configuration
This allows you to spread your stimulation between two separate areas of the anatomy. To create this configuration you can use either two single pole (uni-polar) Electrodes, two double pole (bi-polar) Electrodes used as single pole Electrodes, or a single pole Electrode with a double pole Electrode being used as a single pole Electrode.
Three Electrode Configuration
With a P.E.S. Power Box, this is your most versatile Configuration. To create this Configuration, you can use three single pole Electrodes or a double pole Electrode with a single pole Electrode.
This configuration can be comprised of any combination of Electrodes, either double or single pole, just keep in mind these basic rules of thumb:
a) you must have a complete circuit on either Channel A or Channel B for the incomplete circuit on the remaining channel to work;
b) you typically want your complete circuit to run between the two Electrodes furthest apart with the middle Electrode on the incomplete circuit;
c) finally, a true Three-Electrode Configuration is always made using THREE of your four Connections.
This Configuration allows you to play with the sensations in an additional manner. After you have found the settings on your P.E.S. Power Box most pleasing to you, you can use the Power Interrupt for Channel A and Channel B to alter the flow of the stimulation between the two Channels. This configuration may only be possible with a P.E.S. Power Box.
Four Electrode Configuration
You use all four connection points. Typically comprised of two double pole Electrodes, four single pole Electrodes, or a combination of single and double pole Electrodes. Sometimes this is not the most effective configuration as it can spread your stimulation over too wide an area thus reducing the intensity of your sensations.
Leads
These are the wires that connect your Electrodes in circuit and plug into your generating source. With the P.E.S. Product line, this is the Low Profile Lead.
Connection(s)
This is the end of your lead that attaches to the Electrode. There are two on each pair of Leads. Both of them need to be connected in order to create a complete circuit.
Connection Point(s)
The point on the Electrode where the Leads are attached. There are either one, two, or four of these on an Electrode, depending on whether it is single, double, triple or quadruple pole.
Erotic Electro Stimulation
This is the use of low frequency electrical impulses from a generating source delivered to an electrode or electrodes to enhance an individual's natural sexual response. It is also referred to as estim, electro sex, electro stim, electrical stimulation, or EES.
Full Contact
An important part of successful Erotic Electro Stimulation is CONTACT. In regards to all electrodes, whenever a space is created between the electrode and the contact area (skin or muscle tissue), electricity will arc over that space. This creates a slight “zapping” sensation that can be uncomfortable, and very undesirable for some users.
Hot Spots
Occasionally, you will read cautions about how to prevent “Hot Spots”. These unpleasant sensations are caused by too little lubrication, unshaved pubic hairs, contact with metal (such as jewelry), or by not achieving full contact between the electrode and the skin. “Hot Spots” may not occur under all of these conditions for everyone.
If you experience a “Hot Spot”, read your directions pertaining to the electrode in use, and the problem should easily be made clear, and solved with one or two simple corrections in use.
HFO
This is the abbreviation for Hands-Free Orgasm, which is an orgasm where no physical contact from your hands or someone else's hands is needed with the genitals in order to achieve climax. With electro stimulation, it is an orgasm achieved by electrode placement combined with the settings of your generating source and no manual or oral manipulation of the genitals.

P.E.S. Samurai Vaginal Electrode

Written by Anna on . Posted in How to Use

{jcomments off}Designed as a vaginal Electrode, the Samurai Vaginal Electrode provides penetrating Erotic Electro Stimulation (EES) via the Main Body deep into the vagina, with a curve to aid in delivering some of that stimulation directly to the G-Spot, with an external Clitoral Vibrator for clitoral stimulation.

The Samurai gives the option of simply using the Main Body for delivery of EES vaginally or the Main Body can be used in conjunction with the Clitoral Vibrator. The Clitoral Vibrator is moveable and can be used with its Adjustable Cradle or without. The Clitoral Vibrator can be used clitorally or anally. The Adjustable Cradle is flexible and not only adjusts the depth of the Main Body insertion but can be flexed for better contact between the Clitoral Vibrator and its target.

The Samurai is a double pole Electrode and as such does not require a second Electrode in order to work.

Some ways in which to configure your Samurai:

  • Use the Samurai without the Clitoral Vibrator. Simply remove the Adjustable Cradle and Clitoral Vibrator and experience pure EES.
  • Turn the Adjustable Cradle so that the Clitoral Vibrator is stimulating the anal area with the Main Body inserted vaginally.
  • Adjust the depth of the Main Body using the Adjustable Cradle and make sure the Clitoral Vibrator is faced to stimulate the clitoral area.

Instructions for use:

  1. Slide your PES Power Box into the clip on the Vibrator Box.
  2. Plug the 12v 1.5Amp AC Adapter into the top power plug-in on the Vibrator Box.
  3. Plug the Power Transfer Cable into the lower power plug-in on the Vibrator Box and the other end into the PES Power Box.
  4. Plug the small jack on the Cable of your Samurai into the Vibrator Box.
  5. Plug the large jack on the Cable of your Samurai into the PES Power Box.
  6. Adjust the Vibrator Cradle where you want it on the Main Body.
  7. Lubricate both the Samurai Main Body and the vaginal area.
  8. Insert the Samurai with the Clitoral Vibrator facing either the clitoral area or the anal area.
  9. Make sure your Power Box has the power settings (Coarse and Fine) turned to 1 and the Frequency and Pulse turned to 10.
  10. Turn on your Power Box and find what settings work for you.
  11. Turn on the Clitoral Vibrator and experience all the Samurai has to offer.

Note: These are basic instructions. More detailed instructions are included with the Samurai in the form of the Samurai Product Information and Instruction Manual.

Important Safety Notes:

  • NEVER remove the Samurai while the Power Box is on. Always make sure the Power is off before insertion or removal of the Electrode.
  • Turn down the Coarse and Fine settings on the Power Box before reducing the speed of the Vibrator.
  • DO NOT use anally.
  • For shared usage, it is recommended to cover the Clitoral Vibrator with a condom.

Lubrication:

  • PES recommends the use of a lubricant with all PES Electrodes. Lubricant not only lubricates but also decreases the possibility of hot spots. We recommend PES ElectroLube (Item #PES75). You can also use Olive Oil. Water-based lubricants, such as Medi-Pak Perfomance Sterile Jelly, can be used in the event that you do not have either ElectroLube or Olive Oil. Make sure the lubricant you are using is a water-based lubricant with no silicone ingredients. Never use petroleum jelly or mineral oil as lubricant as these can damage the electrodes.
  • Caution: Do not use lubricants with silicone ingredients. Silicone is an insulator which greatly affects conductivity, and can chemically bond to the products made from Electro-Flex™ when applied over a long period of time. This will cause the apparatus to cease to function properly, and may void the warranty on the Electro-Flex™ line.

Cleaning:
This Electrode can be wiped down with soap and water (a 10% bleach, 90% water solution with a mild liquid soap also works), but do not soak or scrub. Make sure to wash off all fluids and rinse the Electrode thoroughly. Allow it to dry completely. For disinfection; if you plan to use the electrode for shared usage; we recommend the use of Swiss Navy Toy & Body Cleaner. Swiss Navy is safe for use on the skin as well as the electrode. It is anti-viral, anti-fungal & anti-bacterial. Allow to dry completely before use. NEVER submerge your Samurai or its components in liquid.

Electro Stim Safety

{jcomments off}Basic Erotic Electro Stimulation Safety

The safety of our customers has always been the primary concern of Paradise Electro Stimulations, Inc. In that regard here are the primary safety considerations for users.

1. Do Not Use Above the Waist.
Never apply any electrical stimulation above the waist, especially near the heart. Our research has shown that all electrodes applied to the nipple and breast areas can be dangerous. Whether isolated or non-isolated, ALL electrically stimulated breast electrodes can cause fluctuations in heart rhythm. While many people may experience no difficulties, those with diagnosed or undiagnosed cardiac problems may experience mild to severe complications, including possible death.
2. Use Common Sense.
Use common sense while using E.E.S. i.e. do not use in the bathtub, shower, etc.
3. Turn Off When Adjusting.
Turn the Power Box (generating source) off when moving, re-adjusting, or applying electrodes. And if contact is lost, immediately turn off the power to the power source before reapplying or reinserting the electrode(s).
4. Use Latex Gloves.
Use latex gloves when touching exposed conductive area on an active electrode, especially when using manual manipulation in conjunction with Erotic Electro Stimulation.
5. Only One Person Connected at a Time.
At any one time, there should be only one person attached to the power source.
6. Non-Connected Person Can Touch Connected Person.
A person that is not attached to the Power Box may touch a person that is connected and should suffer no ill effects. They may receive a small sensation if they touch an active electrode, but only if they are in contact with the full circuit. For this reason, we strongly encourage the wearing of latex gloves or if oral stimulation is being applied, care should be taken not to come into contact with the actual electrode. It might be recommended to cover the penis with a non-lubricated condom so that any electrodes on the shaft are shielded from contact with the lips or tongue.
7. Do Not Use If These Apply to You.
Do not use these devices if any of the following applies: you have a pacemaker; you have a history of heart problems; you are prone to epileptic seizures; you have a penile prosthesis; fever is present; if you have any internal or external injuries; if you have any inflamed or swollen areas; if you have skin lacerations or open wounds; or you are pregnant. Do not apply directly to any body piercing. If you have any further medical concerns, please ask your physician. Do not use this device if your physician has advised against the use of low frequency electro stimulation.
8. Do Not Share Urethral Electrodes.
Urethral electrodes should be used by only one person, and never shared, to help eliminate the possibility of infection. Never use the same device for both anal and urethral stimulation.
9. Clean & Disinfect Your Electrodes.
All parts and surfaces of your electro conductive devices should be cleaned and disinfected after each use. Clean using anti-bacterial liquid soap and water. Do not scrub and do not soak but make sure to wash away any residue on the electrode left by lubricant or body fluids. For additional sanitizing, such as when electrodes are shared or for urethral electrodes, use a spray such as Swiss Navy Toy & Body Cleaner, which is is anti-bacterial, anti-viral and anti-fungal.
10. Use Lubrication.
Lubricate thoroughly, unless you’re using sticky pads (and even then there is special lubricant to ensure even better adhesion of the pads to the skin). We strongly recommend using water-based lubricant, especially with electrodes made from conductive silicone as the incorrect lubricant can destroy your electrodes. When doing urethral play, make sure to use a sterile water-based lubricant.

Electrode Cleaning

Written by Anna on . Posted in How to Use

{jcomments off}Cleaning & Care

Most electrodes can be washed with soap and water (a 10% bleach, 90% water solution with a mild liquid soap also works), but do not soak or scrub. Make sure to wash off all fluids and/or residue (body fluids as well as lubrication) and rinse the Electrode thoroughly. Allow it to dry completely.

For disinfection; if you plan to use the electrode for shared usage or perhaps it is an electrode for urethral insertion; we recommend the use of Swiss Navy Toy & Body Cleanser. Swiss Navy is safe for use on the skin as well as the electrode. It is anti-viral, anti-fungal, & anti-bacterial. Allow to dry completely before use.

Exceptions to the above cleaning methods

The below items should be handled a bit differently for cleaning.
